The short version
Your details go to the clinic we match you with, and to nobody else. We do not sell them, we do not pass them to telemarketers or data brokers, and nothing is shared until you have ticked the consent box. You can ask us to delete everything at any time and we will.
Who we are
Dana Picks is a matching service for patients in the United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data you give us through this website. Our company details are published in our terms.
What we collect
- The answers you give in the matching form: the treatment you are considering, your budget range, your timing, which emirate suits you and how you want to be looked after.
- Your first name and your WhatsApp number.
- How you reached us, meaning the campaign or link you came from and the page you landed on.
We do not ask for your medical records, your identity documents or your payment details. If a clinic needs any of those, you give them to the clinic directly.
Why your consent matters here
The treatment you ask about says something about your health, which the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the GDPR both treat as sensitive. We may only handle it with your consent. The form carries a consent box next to the send button, ticked by default so you are not asked to opt in twice, and you can untick it before you send. We record which version of the wording applied and when you sent the form. Whether it is ticked or not, your details are never sold on.
The wording you accept is: “I agree that Dana Picks may share my answers and contact details with the clinic it matches me with, so that they can contact me about my treatment. My details are not sold or passed to anyone else.”
Who it goes to
We share your enquiry with the clinic we match you with, so they can contact you about your treatment. That clinic is in the UAE. Nobody else receives it.
Clinics pay us a fee when we introduce a patient. That is how the service is funded, and it is the same fee on the same basis for every partner, so what a clinic pays cannot change whether it is chosen.
We do not sell your details to advertisers, lead brokers or call centres. We do not send your treatment category to advertising platforms: our conversion tracking records only that an enquiry happened, never what it was about.
We use service providers to run the site and store the data, including our hosting and database providers. They process it on our instructions only and may not use it for anything of their own.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to make the introduction, to follow up with you afterwards, and to show that your consent was properly obtained. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your details.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. That does not undo a sharing that has already happened, but it stops any further sharing.
- Complain to the UAE Data Office, or to your own national data protection authority if you are outside the UAE.
To do any of these, message us on WhatsApp on the number published on this site, or write to the address in our terms. We answer within thirty days.
Cookies and tracking
We record which campaign or link you arrived from, so we know which adverts are worth running.
This site also loads the Meta pixel, which tells Meta that a page was viewed and, if you send the form, that an enquiry happened. It sets cookies in your browser and Meta may use them to measure our adverts and to show you ours again.
What the pixel never receives is what you are asking about. The treatment, your budget and every other answer stay with us: the only thing sent is that an enquiry happened, with no detail attached. Health interests are not sent to any advertising platform.
To stop it, use your browser’s tracking protection or your Meta ad preferences. If you would like us to delete what we hold, ask and we will.
Changes
We may update this policy. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
