Who we are
Danapicks is a service that matches patients with clinics. We are the data controller for the information you give us through this website.
What we collect
- The answers you give in the matching form: the treatment you are considering, where you would travel, your budget range, your timing and what matters most to you.
- Your name, email address, phone number and country.
- Anything you choose to write in the free-text box.
- How you reached us (the campaign or link you came from) and the page you landed on.
Why this is sensitive
The treatment you ask about says something about your health. Under the GDPR that is a special category of personal data, and we may only handle it with your explicit consent. That is why the form asks you to tick a box before we can do anything with your enquiry, and why we record which version of that wording you agreed to.
The wording you accept is: “I agree that Danapicks may share my details and treatment enquiry with selected partner clinics so they can contact me about my treatment.”
Who we share it with
We share your enquiry with the partner clinics we shortlist for you, so they can contact you about your treatment. Those clinics pay us a fee for the introduction — this is how the service is funded, and it does not change which clinics we show you.
We do not sell your details to advertisers or data brokers. We do not send your treatment category to advertising platforms; conversion tracking records only that an enquiry happened.
Some clinics are outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, your details are transferred there so the clinic can respond to you.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to introduce you to clinics and to show that we handled your consent properly. If you ask us to delete it, we will.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your details.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not undo sharing that has already happened, but it stops any further sharing.
- Complain to your national data protection authority.
